Border collie pup on forced crate rest after surgery

Poor wee thing. At 20 weeks she tripped over her long legs- not going daft- just tripped and broke the growth bone in her shoulder. Cue rushed trip to the vet hospital and operation to insert a screw. She doesnt have weak bones thankfully . It was just a freak accident.
Vets and hospital have been amazing.
She is on ACP twice a day to sedate her as she goes nuts when let out the crate (and in it). She just wants to play all the time. Those big eyes are making me feel awful. As far as she is concerned there is nothing wrong with her.
So, the point of this ramble is how do I entertain her? So far I have done the stuffed King thing- despite what all the web sites said it take her 15 mins tops til she has licked all the stuffing out.
Do the 3 cups with a treat underneath . All she wants to do is come out and play. I am being so hard on her and doing what the vets said. I even bought an aromatherapy plug in to no avail.
I have been trying to train her in the crate and she just looks at me as if I am nuts ie let me out and I will do it!!
We are 3 weeks in and 3 to go.
Any tips are welcome.

Is she good in the car .my dog sits on the front seat with his seatbelt on and loves going for a drive- especially if he can stick his head out of the window. Also lots of places sell doggy puzzles which may work for a bit.

Are you freezing the Kong? You can even stuff a Kong, freeze it, then put it in a kids sea side bucket part fill with water and throwin some treats, bits of cheese, ham/bacon fat ets, then freeze that, so she has to work to get the kong out of the bucket and then empty the frozen Kong, I can promise that will take a while, it will make a terrific mess too Grin but al least it will keep her busy.

Thanks for replying so fast!
She gets car sick which was a problem we were working on prior to the accident!!
She broke her shoulder so not really allowed to dig out a bucket but thanks for that- will keep that one for the garden when she is better!.
I am freezing the Kong with all sorts.
She has a puzzle game which she enjoys.

I don't think she will dig in the bucket, that's why I said a kids bucket, she will just stick her nose in and lick.

Are you freezing the Kong with a liquid so it is totally solid? Is it fairly big? The little puppy ones are rubbish.

Oh dear ! What about one of those carts you attach behind a bike , she might enjoy it and you would get really fit.
