I had been under the impression that <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&sa=X&biw=1280&bih=902&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnsu&tbnid=S9_s92tigxFOWM:&imgrefurl=www.richardharland.net/WOLF/RealWolfFacts.htm&docid=VNdnJAuxbP1VvM&imgurl=www.richardharland.net/WOLF/RealWolfImages/realwolvespic6.jpg&w=549&h=412&ei=z8kyUKXrOoPZtAbEkID4Bw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=198&vpy=372&dur=1&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=88&ty=159&sig=109222879712565075320&page=1&tbnh=162&tbnw=214&start=0&ndsp=20&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0,i:158" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">these were Wolves

Have I been living with the wrong species all this time?

I carry a stick when walking Jasper. It's to fend off the feral offspring of other residents who have been mugging the elderly at twilight Hmm

Our hopelessly confused wolefs are currently lying on our bed. Shock Clearly it is only a matter of time before they assume their rightful place at the head of the pack, and from there, take over the world. However, I am convinced that if I wear a wolef fleece, they will be confounded.

Could it be that they are Wargs (sorry, a bit of a Tolkien geek) and in fact are reacting to the staff as carried by Gandalf? And that we should all be wielding our staffs like wizards? You know, standing on bridges, bellowing "You Shall Not Pass" and such.......

Must admit, it would be quite handy to do that....

I take my wolfs to work with me. Everyone treats them like royalty. They must think they run the world.

ChickensArentEligableForGold · 21/08/2012 15:22

My wolf is eating a raw carrot. He may be going veggie Shock

Ephiny - they are stunning, I love Rotties, so cuddly.

LOL at the stick stories. Mine doesn't do sticks, she just pulls the bark off occasionally then wanders off. But the other week I saw a terrier carrying a tree! Managed to knock a few other walkers off their feet. T'was v funny.

D0oin, my DH has a weird habit of trying to "out-alpha" the dog too. It's v annoying and yes, he did watch some Cesar shows. He started doing that stupid tsss noise Millan does. Dog just did this face Hmm and carried on with whatever she was doing. He's stopped trying now. Mind you, she does that anyway. I'm the only one who she takes notice of - if it suits her... a bit like DD really Wink

The only wolf-like thing she does is a pretty good howl. A lot.
Luckily the neighbours adore her.

Oooh I've got a rottie foster dog coming for a week weeks when we come back from holiday! He's 6 months old. I can't wait Grin

I think those bloody dog programs should be banned, my DH is always trying out new things. They fail miserably because they are my dogs and look at DH as a person to be tolerated, definitley not an alpha whatever

LtEveDallas · 21/08/2012 15:34

Though evidently to dogs, a stick is just a stick

Though in your case Ephiny (having nosied at your photos), a TREE is just a stick!

I can't carry sticks with MuttDog or RottieDog about - it gets taken off me and then the walk is forgotten whilst they play tug o war. Mutt is much weaker than Rottie, but will NOT give up, and ends up being dragged on her arse across the fields.

Never let them fuckers stand AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS. THEY WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!
