Pup has a pale pink shnoz. I'm worried about sunburn. I did try smearing a little factor 30 on the top, but he licked off what he could and smeared the rest around the living room rug.

Yep he probably does . I put it on the nose of one of my dogs. specially for dogs

Yes I would use it. I have a horse with a pink nose and while he loathes the sun cream and spends an hour or so trying to wipe it off on anyone in range, without it his nose is blistered and cracked within days

I would say yes.

Also, if a short-furred muttley, sometimes a smear of suncream is necessary on the tips of ears, and other sensitive areas that may get burned.

Also applies to cats. Smile

I always used to use suncream on the white part of my old dogs muzzle, also on his one white ear.

I stick it on mine. No idea whether he needs it, but no harm done if he doesn't, and I did read about cats getting cancer on their ears from sun burn.

On the other hand the pharmacist did look at me somewhat askance when I asked for factor 40 unscented child sunscreen.... for my dog.
