Friend's DD is just over one and our doppy springer adores her. Whenever they are here he follows her around like a lost sheep and unfortunately frequently whacks her with his tail. She can crawl over him, prod him etc and he just lies there - if she move he goes after her.
I don't want to punish him for not being aggressive but it's embarrassing having to apologise to friend for him being clumsy and knocking her over.
What to do?
