We are getting a female dog in 2 weeks and need a name for her. The name she has now is too awful to keep (I won't say it as it might out me)

Daisy. I let DD name her and did not know it was the most common dog's name! Her sister is called Doris. Growing up we had a dog called Lucy Locket.

We have Dotty (renamed, as when we got her she was called Dot.com) and Teasel. In the past we have had: Topsy, Honey, Bonnie, Tessie, Smokey and Lassie

Beau- black cocker spaniel.

All in her litter were given American state names. So she's Mississippi Beau.

I feel sorry for Texas Eric Wink

But to be honest, we call her Pet a lot! My dh does a strange Geordie accent and says "here pet", and she comes trotting over Smile
