OMG! dog and husband marauded on by aggressive owners

Husband just came in fuming..

he got out of our house, with our dog on lead, and two dogs came up, no owner in sight, then hared off into the distance..

then they came back and jumped up at DH (our dog up the field and off lead otherwise occupied)

then they came back a third time and harrassed our dog (not actually biting, to be fair, but definitely unfriendly and impolite behaviour) ...Dh booted them away at this point (grown dogs, definitely not puppies) ..as they were mouthing, growling and barking at our dog..Owners then had a go at DH for having our dog on a lead 'if your dog can't be walked off lead she shouldn't be walked during the day!!!'

our dog was not allowed to bite these tools or their dogs! She was under control the whole time!

i don't know who these knobbers are....(of course dog is walked off lead, just not around other dogs)

omg, arses. hopw dh is ok. some people are just idiots.

what i don't get is how this is our fault!

one of the dogs was on a halty, he didn't recognise them so probably they were purposeful in the field to walk nutty dogs ...(no doubt nutty due to inadequate owner input!)

it isnt your fault in the sllightest, they are nutters, and bullies by the sound of it.

I have come across more numpties since owning our dog than ever before! Our whippet is always walked on the lead, unless we are in a safe area as we will otherwise lose him in an inevitable squirrel/small furry chase. It doesn't mean he is nasty, but he doesn't appreciate full-on, off-lead dogs approaching him when he is on-lead.
