How would one go about stealing and hiding a dog?

I need to steal my parents ex stray Lurcher. I luff him. I need him. I considered telling them that he had escaped while I was looking after him but then it dawned on me that they visit my house frequently so I need a way to hide him or disguise him somehow.

He is sandy coloured and the approximate size of a whippet.

Dd2 is in on it. She will help. She also luffs him.

Amber is delicious. I want to kidnap her, hand feed her morsels of chicken and tickle her. She is gorgeous. If your dad's lurcher is anything like Amber, I think desperate measures are called for. Grin

I thought the usual place to hide a dog was in the fridge. I suppose a whippet might be a bit big for the salad drawer.

I'm not sure either of these ideas would work for a whippet...

Awww, I love Amber too...

I only have one whippety lurcher. Not fawn though. He is a big-eared white/cream patchy thing.

Makes a great sofa cushion.

Here is the plan: You get a crafty friend to knit/sew/crochet you a fawn lurcher shaped sofa cushion.
You place this in your parent's house, preferably on the sofa.
You kidnap lurcher dog and deny all knowledge...

"No Dad, your dog is fast asleep on the sofa, yes I know he looks a bit knitted, not sure how that happened, has mum shampood him recently?"
