When did you first realise you were a 'dog' person?

Have had my mutt for just over a year and when walking her the other day the realisation that I was a dog person hit me full on. Its a lovely feeling isn't it? Before I had her I only liked specific dogs now I love all of them.

The lady who does hydrotherapy for our elderly bitch is getting married later this year, and the availability of a dog friendly venue was a key question (more so than for the human guests, I think!). I also know of a CP where the greyhounds of the two grooms were the ring bearers and also played an integral part in the ceremony. I always cry at weddings anyway, but that turned me into a wibbling pile of jelly.

Scuttle, the Best man honestly thought we were joking about walking the dogs.... till he saw I was wearing walking boots

Scuttle I'm curious to know how greyhounds can carry rings, did they wear them round their necks on a ribbon or something? I'd love Sprocket to be a ring beaer if me and DP ever got married :)

I grew up with dogs and can't imagine having a house without one. I think they bring wonderful things to childhood (and adulthood for that matter). I do like non-skittish cats but I think they should be allowed outdoors and we have a cat bi-law here .

I got a dog for my kids... Little did I know, I would be the one falling in love with her! I guess, I do spend more time with her than the kids, as I'm home all day with her. Until her... I was not a dog person. Would I pet a dog? Nope... not really.

Now, I do! Heck, I've even made homemade dog biscuits, and my Chia has more toys than I know what to deal with! lol

Yep. I've even gone to dog parks, and have taken my Chia to Doggy Daycare!!! YEP...

I'm officially a dog lover.... :)
