Had two rescues since sept. one is well behaved apart from barking at every noise and coming and going : phone, door , moving car keys, visitors going to the loo. Also goes nuts with over excitement when getting ready for a walk especially when going in the car.

My ears can take no more !!

Our border collie used to bark or dig frantically in her plastic dog bed for attention for attention / boredom relief. We stopped it by immediately leaving the room whenever she started doing it, and came back when she had stopped. We didn't utter a word, just got up and left. Dogs love company and us leaving her alone was not what she wanted us to do. She gave up the behaviour we didn't like.

It's effective, but really annoying to have to do, yet the result has made it worth all the effort.

Good luck finding a solution with your dogs.
