Help - what to feed my puppy, I'm overwhelmed by all the choice!

I have a 12 week old golden retriever puppy, the first dog I've had since I was a child. In those days it was simple, a tin of Pedigree Chum and a few Winalot biscuits, but now, what a difference!

We've been feeding her cooked chicken and rice/tins of puppy food mixed with Science Plan/leftover vegetables and pasta/Wellbeloved puppy complete food. I'm reluctant to feed her too much processed food but don't have time to do lots of cooking. Also, I've been a vegetarian most of my life and we don't have meat at home for ourselves, so I don't want to get into too much of my own preparation, although I'm happy to cook chicken every so often.

People rave about the raw food you can buy - is this something I can start feeding the pup? What do people recommend?

I feed mine Nature Diet- it's very inoffensive to keep in the fridge in that its not smelly if you avoid the fish one. And I add a bit of complete kibble as a mixer, which is a high quality blend that my groomers make themselves. It's all top quality, very reasonable, and crucially for me with no car, available round the corner!

You are right though, there's a massive choice- you just have to find something that works for you.

Take a look here www.dogfoodadvisor.com

or here
