Just two mornings per week, and he's done two so far:
The first one went well, he was off lead and his recall was good. I give the dogwalker treats to use.
Today, he started to walk away - in the direction of home - so got put back on the lead straight away. Wouldn't come, even with treats being waved around.
My feeling is that Paul (our dogwalker) needs to spend some time bonding with him, using treats, almost doing his own training for recall with our pup. And/or walk him at the same time as another, slightly older dog who has good recall. Does this sound right? I'm worried...
Background: Mouse (our pup) has excellent recall with me, and with dh, but we've only had him 5 weeks and he had no experience before that at all - just pound, then rescue, then fostered with 12 other dogs.
