Reputable breeder of Chocolate Labradors?

Just wondering if anyone has bought from a breeder they would happily recommend.

Ideally we're looking for a 'working' rather than 'show' dog, although he would essentially be a family pet.

We're in the Midlands but would happily travel wherever necessary (in the UK!).

Thanks for any help. Smile

Deeds... the father's name is Deeds.

"Labs should be biddable, friendly, bold and confident, bright as buttons, masses of fun and really responsive and those who are bred entirely for trials are all of those things but are a bit/lot more wired."

Yeap, that is my girl.

Just to say another one to second Di and the Wylanbriar Kennels. We don't actually have a wylanbriar dog (We have Driffwold and Brockburrow dogs) but she has always been so incredibly helpful and kind and enerally knowledgeable. She can point you in the right direction if she doesn't have any puppies available- normally she has a VERY long waiting list for her puppies- 12m+

"The blend of trialling and pet/show labs often makes for a brilliant and beautiful labrador." Obviously I'm biased but we couldn't wish for a better dog! He's just fabulous. Confession time though - he's not from a professional breeder. He was from the first litter from a couple who were dipping their toes in the water, so to speak. They had had labs all their lives, did it all by the book - I had my check list and they ticked all the boxes.
