What does 'exit management' mean in dog rescue ads.

Just reading through some dog rescue sites and for some dogs it states that a 6' fence and exit management will be required. What does exit management mean in this context?

It would mean that you have precautions in place wrt to doors and gates as the dog is a bolter. For example, you might need to educate all household members and visitors to shut the dog in the kitchen/sitting room/crate before opening the front door, or to keep the gate locked shut at all times, to have stairgates up to prevent an unexpected rushing onto the street and so on. :)

Actually it means you should arrange for a red carpet and showers of rose petals when they leave the house. Regular small crowds of adoring fans and a few paps are also helpful. The owner should be standing behind ready to graciously receive any bouquets brought by small children.

LMAO at Scuttlebutter. I have a cat who is of the sound belief that a red carpet and showers of rose petals whould be in place for her using the catflap!
