i havent noticed the 'bugger', probably cos where i'm from its a popular word

BooyHoo · 17/06/2011 22:55

do you know, i was jsut reading another thread (about the rottie being kept in a shitty yard) and thought, there's a poster who seems to be as well connected as val. an now i see this and see that it bloody is val!! Grin

glad you're still hounding about here val. we couldn't be doing without you!!

noscat · 17/06/2011 22:57

oh please don't go - I've only just escaped from the teenage thread to the doghouse - was enjoying it all and really need all the help I can get :).

Elibean · 17/06/2011 23:00

Its the mix of compassion, passion and fury all in one paragraph (at times) that makes you distincitive, IMO Grin

So glad you're ok and still here.

Btw, also delighted to know I'm not the only ellipse-addict here. I get told off all the time (tutor, I'm trying to learn something) for using them....but they are SO useful....

NorksAreMessy · 17/06/2011 23:00

val can you please be val again? Please? I implicitly trust what you say when you are Valhalla

Summersoon · 17/06/2011 23:00

Yes, it is (your distinctive posting style, that is) - I recognized your style in Emptyshell's thread right off - it is partly certain words but also how you string sentences together. Glad to hear you are ok, though.
And best wishes to Emptyshell, too. I think that when someone ends up feeling like she does, things have definitely gone too far. I sometimes think that people lose their inhibitions under the anonymity and say things they would not dare say face-to-face in RL. (Or at least, I hope that they wouldn't...)

LoopyLoopsBettyBoops · 17/06/2011 23:01

Not distinctive enough for me to realise!

elibean - 'Its the mix of compassion, passion and fury all in one paragraph'. i love your description

(best wishes to emptyshell too. hope you see the support you have. come back when you feel you can)

sb6699 · 17/06/2011 23:46

Hee hee - I knew it was you as well!

If being on here is getting in the way of your home life and causing you more stress, then its definately a good idea to step back for a bit.

But please dont leave altogether, you always have good advice and if you dont want to deal with any fallout from posters who disagree with you, there's always PM if you feel you can help someone who needs it.

Hope things get better for you soon xx

Scuttlebutter · 18/06/2011 00:04

Yep, another one here who thinks you were kidding yourself pretty badly to imagine you could disguise your posting style. I blame O Level Latin myself - Wink

misdee · 18/06/2011 07:57

ah i thought k999 was you Blush

TheDogsAintTheProblem · 18/06/2011 12:00

ScuttleButter... my former Latin teacher is Welsh y'know... :o

(Meaning I'm a South of Englander who speaks Latin with a Welsh accent!).

Elibean · 18/06/2011 14:17

Now thats very weird: my Latin teacher was Welsh too Shock

Are there a lot of Welsh Latin teachers?!

TheDogsAintTheProblem · 18/06/2011 14:42

Ah, but Elibean, was your Latin teacher a dark-haired lady of less than 5 foot tall though? :)

Scuttlebutter · 18/06/2011 15:01

Well, that means you are speaking Latin as it was probably spoken by the Romans who lived in Britain!! Wink

Yes, Wales has many exports, and one of them is teachers. Most English secondary schoools will have a male Geography teacher who's Welsh and also handy for rugby coaching, and a female Welsh teacher who will probably also be good at music/playing piano.

And short, dark haired ladies would probably apply as a description to 99 % of the Welsh female population. Grin

Hmm, no. Under 5ft with short reddish hair, iirc! Name of Powell. And, sadly, died years ago...

Besides, I'm far older than you so surely not the same one Grin

TheDogsAintTheProblem · 18/06/2011 21:01

We're the same age, Elibean! :o

Elibean · 19/06/2011 11:02

Not if you're going by my profile - I forgot to update my age Wink

Elibean · 19/06/2011 11:07

Sad updated Grin

MotherJack · 21/06/2011 11:04

Lol Elibean! Grin
