vomiting after giving birth

last night my dog gave birth to two healthy pups. she has been fine all day eating and drinking but this afternoon she started throwing up. she has throw up about 5 times i just took her temp and its at 39.3 is this normal or do i need to get her to a vet.
please just give advice. v worried

She is just outside normal dog temp range so you agree with Chick that you need to ring your vet under the circumstances. It could be nothing and a summary Google says it could also be postpartum metritis (inflamed uterus occurring after giving birth).

Only a vet would know for sure. Presumably you have one on call so give them a ring.

You need to ring a vet, especially if she hasn't already been checked by a vet to make sure her uterus was empty after whelping and there are no dead puppies left inside.

What is her discharge like?

Good point Midori (not that I'd expect less!) and given that you did post previously saying there were 2, maybe 3 pups, Emmery you probably need to consider this very seriously.

phoned vet straight away and he said that a high temp is normal in bitches after whelping and not to panic. i do get myself too worked up when it comes to my dog. thanks guys

It can be normal in some bitches, as can throwing up, but it can also be abnormal and a sign of a serious problem. Bitches with smaller litters are more likely to have some of these problems IME.

I always get a vet to check my bitches anbd puppies over the morning after they have whelped, despite being experienced myself. Yes, it's costly, but it's great to have a second, and qualified, pair of eyes to check all is well and no amount of money can outweigh the welfare of my animals.
