I must NOT look at rescue websites

Our dog sadly was PTS at the end of February. We have DD who is 12mo and we agreed we would hold off getting a dog for now, focus on her and think again in the new year.

But I have just looked on one of our local rescue sites and seen a beautiful ten year old lurcher whose owner has died. Lurchers aren't actually a particular favourite of mine but this one looks so gorgeous. And I figure not many people want a ten year old dog.

Anyway, I can't tell DH about this because he would tell me off for even looking so thought I would share on here.

You could suggest to DH that you foster a dog for a short while... :o

A decent rescue will homecheck you, match you with the right dog (maybe one who needs a bit of TLC prior to going to a permanent home, so for a specified period only), provide food, cover any vets bills, offer complete support and there is no obligation, they would be there to step in and take him back if you didn't feel it was working out. Rescue is crying out for experienced owners who are able to foster.

It's just a thought... :o

(G'wan, KD's DH, you know you want to really!).
