Need a name in G for a Bernese Mountain Dog (girl)

Our new puppy has been born in France and needs to be registered with the equivalent of the Kennel Club, within the next week. We need to find a name in G for her, but not a person name iyswim. Need a good dog name. Any suggestions gratefully received please!

Godiva? I know it's a person name, but it's not so personlike that it sounds like a child substitute iyswim (which is my benchmark).

I'm thinking Ganymede. I know it's technically a boy's name but it's also a moon so would fit in nicely with her ancestors' names.

Updating my thread from last year to say that we now have our pup and you can see a recent photo of her on my profile. She is huge already and still growing- already 2 inches taller than our leggy labrador! She is absolutely lovely though and seems very biddable and eager to please.

I would really like one but I think it would be just too big for my house (and my car, and caravan and the crate!)

What did you call her in the end?

We registered her with the SoF (KC equivalent) as Ganymede but she is widely known as Ginny.
