I've read a lot about this wonder-tool, mostly good, and I think it sounds like a marvellous thing. What is the difference between getting one for £30/£40 and one for a fiver? Are they the same thing? One the one hand, I don't see the point in paying ££££££ for something that you can get for £, but on the other hand, getting crap is a waste of time and money. I do not know enough to make a decisions! Anyone had experience of both cheap and expensive or has any idea?

I've ordered one off Amazon and hopefully it's on its way! Can this really mean an end to a very very hairy house?!!

Mine's an Amazon tenner or so one and it's fantastic. Doesn't stop the cream carpets and black dog shredding my sanity but I tend to use it when he's going a bit moulty and has clumps of fur dangling out but not quite coming free yet. Has also really helped the condition of his coat doing him a couple of times a month - he was really really straggly when we got him from the rescue and now he's starting to look like an auditionee for a shampoo commercial or something with how shiny he's getting.

Oh good. I can't wait for mine to arrive now. I shall have the best groomed collie in town Grin

My furminator arrived today!! Yay!! WElcome to a hair-free house!!! Even our grumpy collie doesn't seem to mind it too much. It's quite small. Smaller than I thought a medium sized one would be. It still seems to do the trick. I wouldn't have bought one just by looking at it. I wouldn't have thought the teeth were long enough to get into a thick coat.
