our 3yo JRTX has taken to sleeping right up against the kitchen door, he was in the kitchen after just being fed and I opened the door to check on our dinner and his tail was caught underneath the door. he yelped and shot away, bleeding (but not loads) and went to lie in his bed. I checked him over and the very tip of his tail (im talking the last mm) has come off. we found it. he only bled for a minute, and it wasnt loads, just dripping.

I applied pressure to it etc and its totally stopped. he seems fine and is his usual happy self, currently sitting on the living room floor hoping that ds will drop a bit of pasta as per usual! do I need to take him to the vet anyway or will he be fine?

thank you. i feel so guilty, but he really does seem ok. if he seemed off colour I'd be at the vets like a shot, but he didnt bleed much at all.
