stair gate for dogs - which do you have?

I want to keep my dogs in the utility room when drying out after their muddy walks.

So a stair gate might be a good idea.

Do i have to get a special one or just ordinary baby one?

Argos do a good one. It's 39.99, we didn't get it for the dog though. HV reccomended it for a child that kept climbing over the normal size ones Grin

I'd get a higher one, depending of course on the breed of dog! We have this, but my only gripe is it's fiddly to open, but mostly I don't lock it, just shut it and the dog doesn't try to get out anyway- she's used to it. Otherwise no other complaints.

We have normal stairgates. (although we do have adog one to keep the child in his bedroom in the mornings, he is an escape artist!) The dogs can jump over them, but they never do.

Our stair is quite wide and our doorways quite narrow so I ended up getting ones from here .

They have a stairgate finder which lets you put in your gap size and it will tell you what combination of gates and extensions are possible!
