I've googled it and it seems it could be teething (he is chewing everything at the moment), compacted anal glands (boak), his food (he is having lamb flavour Wainwright's), an allergy, a yeast infection, anything really. Teething seems most likely ... I've even wiped his bum with a tissue and sniffed it (not fishy) so not sure about the anal glands ... things I never thought I'd do pre-dog!

Anyone had this before??

Ooh I remember this happening with our lab, she is 9 months now.......we put it down to teething, did at one point think it was compacted anal glands (after Googling fishy breath) but had a word with our breeder (lovely lady) who reassured us it was more than likely teething. So to help we got her charcoal dog biscuits (called dem bones)to help with that and also the odd mint here and there Blush so I could get close enough for a cuddle.

I was about to post something similar about my JRTs disgustorous breath.
She's almost 3 and has obviously eaten poo of some delicious variety Hmm
Do charcoal biscuits work?
