Waiting for 111 call back

DD is nearly 4 and has been vomiting since Tuesday early evening, not kept any food down but is taking small sips of liquid. Had a fever of 39 Wednesday, but down to 36.5 now.

Thought she was doing better last night and she said she was hungry so gave her a boiled egg for dinner but that came back up an hour later.

She woke up and hour ago and started vomiting bright yellow, like the colour of a yellow highlighter pen.

111 says all the local urgent cares are over capacity so would be a minimum 50 minute drive to take her in. 111 said its not urgent and a GP will call back in the next 2 hours.

I haven't had much sleep since Sunday/Monday or would have put her in the car and taken her anyway but worried about driving for that long the way I feel.

Am going to have to stay up until the Dr calls in case I miss it. Could do with a handhold.

Handhold here. I sympathise theres nothing worse than your baby being ill.
It sounds like the bright yellow vomit is bile? I've had that when ive been sick so much that theres nothing left in you and you throw up that nasty tasting yellow stuff. Either that or its the egg.
There's a major vomiting bug going around at the moment. Alot of people struck down with it here. So awful as it is, hope its nothing too sinister and she will bounce back in no time with a roaring appetite to catch up.
Two of mine have had rubbish appetites lately too x

Thanks. I think it is probably bile, she has nothing solid left in her, bless her. I'm confident all the egg came up, I scraped it of the stair carpet! Plus it much brighter than a hard boiled egg. Sorry for the TMI.

I've had no appetite either, but that could be lack of sleep/tiredness.

Last time I rang 111 it was for me, the Dr didn't call and it went over time. 111 called to say they passed it to my GP who would ring that morning, they never did. My GP's receptionist said that 111 say they make appointments but the surgery just record it on our file like a notification. She didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with that.

DD is asleep right now which I think is for the best.

Still no call back, DD has been peacefully asleep the whole time. Wish I had tried to sleep now
