I’ve posted before about struggling with the 4 month sleep regression but my latest specific challenge is getting baby (5 months) back in the crib after a wake up. It’s currently taking me an hour each time - which, when the baby wakes multiple times in the night, means I get very little sleep.
I currently rock baby to sleep and then transfer him to the crib. For some reason this works almost always first time for daytime naps and bedtime but takes multiple attempts during the night. He wakes up as I’m transferring him, kicks off and I start again…
I think the solution is to get him to sleep in the crib itself rather than in my arms. He’s also getting too heavy to keep rocking to sleep.
if anyone has had success with getting baby to fall asleep in the crib directly please can you let me know how you did it?
