10 day year old wont sleep in moses basket at night

My 10 day year old does not want to sleep in his moses basket which sits next to the bed at night.
He will sleep in it from 4am in morning and when we have it downstairs but other than that he will not settle to sleep in it.
Its as soon as we bring it upstairs and his 9pm feed onwards he will not settle snd wants to be held! I am knackered and not sure what to do.

Next to me crib was a game changer for us as I could lie right next to baby and put my hand on her so they can smell you and feel you there. Hang in there it gets easier!

@jsep Super normal. Night is scary for babies - they’ve evolved to want to be close to you so they aren’t eaten. Next2me is a good idea, or hold for a bit before transferring
