Cosleeping gone wrong: toddler wakes every sleep cycle!

We fell into cosleeping due to convenience.
However DD is now three, and can't get herself to sleep at all.
We'll read and cuddle her to sleep, then four hours later she'll wake up crying for one of us! One of us will go in and snuggle with her. She'll instantly fall back asleep. But if we leave again, a few hours later (at the end of each sleep cycle I assume?) she'll wake again, screaming for company. EVERY NIGHT. She has never slept through without someone in bed with her.

HELLPPPPP!!!!!

sleep cycles are shorter than that iirc, much shorter. I coslept with both of mine from birth more or less, and the eldest moved into his own room at about 4, and if he wakes in the night he comes through and joins me (and DC2), but the first few nights he'd be upset and crying then now he just comes through. I don't think it sounds unusual, though i can understand it's frustrating! how long has she been sleeping on her own?

Have you tried the No Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers @pennypom?

@pennypom It’s developmentally normal to still need support to go to sleep and reassurance during the night at this age x
