Hi guys, we had our first child just before the world went into lockdown. I work in media, and during this strange time, I decided to make a 1-minute short film based on all the sleepless nights (and generally just to keep myself sane). I thought this might be a good place to post this as if there's anyone who can relate, it's other parents lol. It's very short and has been accepted into 30 film festivals and competitions so far, including a few wins. The tone is horror, but it is very soft if you are not usually a fan, and the payoff is lighthearted and I'm sure very relatable. 😉
Watch it here, and make sure you watch it with sound on.
SHORT SYNOPSIS:
It's time for bed as a baby is left alone in their crib to sleep, but sleep is the last thing on their mind as darkness surrounds them. The shadows appear to be moving, there appears to be something else in the room.
THE CONCEPT:
Inspired by many sleepless nights, along with the strange and often stressful experience of becoming a first-time parent. It must be strange being a baby, everything is unknown and scary.
I hope this is of interest, and would love to hear your thoughts. Please do pass the link on if you like it too.😀
