Not my baby

On day 10 of my second born, he is just miserable and I can't seem to do anything right for him. Starting to feel like he isn't my baby, is this normal?

My first was a terrible feeder and sleeper but I can't remember feeling like this

I did get this feeling with my baby at first. Things got easier and the feeling faded away eventually.

Having a newborn is not easy xx

Hi, I don’t have experience to share but I’m awake with period pain, didn’t want to read and run. Day 10 of a difficult newborn? That sounds like hell, it’s no wonder your brain is scrambling to make sense of things. Can you talk to your health visitor about this? I’d be really honest about your fears so they can see how much you’re struggling right now. I hope you can get some proper sleep soon x

It can (but doesn’t have to) be a sign of postnatal depression. You’re also right on time for baby blues which can be very intense. Speak to your midwife/health visitor for some support? And be kind to yourself xxx

If I could take him back I would. Feels like I've ruined everyones life including my 3 year olds

@bbyno2 been there and felt that. Its a hard adjustment going back to the newborn days. Anti depressants really helped me to get though it but please don't leave it too long to ask for help
