I’m awake ironically because of MAM who sponsor this topic

I’m awake because I lost my baby last month. We had to have a termination for medical reasons. I’m devastated.

When I discovered I was pregnant I signed up to lots of pregnancy/new mum websites including MAM who sponsor this new talk topic.

I keep getting emails from MAM and can’t seem to unsubscribe. When you hit the unsubscribe button it doesn’t actually let you unsubscribe it just takes you to a page of further email ‘opt in’ pages with no actual option to unsubscribe.

If I click on MAM’s contact page there is no email address only a contact form relating to specific products with a limited drop down menu and no ‘general’ or ‘unsubscribe’ option.

I would really appreciate MAM to make it possible to unsubscribe from their email list, it’s hell to receive emails about pregnancy when you are no longer pregnant.

I have found so many pregnancy websites to be complicated to unsubscribe from which I think is unacceptable given how prevalent pregnancy loss is.

I feel my loss all the more keenly when I receive emails telling me about my baby’s weekly progress when my poor baby is dead.

It’s torture.

Please make it stop.

How distressing for you- so sorry for your loss. If you can't unsubscribe them I would just block the e mail address.

That’s good advice, thank you x

I just feel annoyed that I should have to block them when it should be easy and a ‘one click’ job for me to unsubscribe.

Blocking seems like acceptance that I shall never be pregnant again (I have endometriosis and am older) whereas unsubscribing felt less so. I get that probably doesn’t make any sense particularly as I am now far from enamoured with this company anyway so it hardly matters.

Grief is irrational I guess.
