I'm still puzzling over Phoenix. I've seen a lot hinting it might be Michael Sheen pretending to be Tenant but I just don't get him from the clues. I've tried googling to get all the clues but nothing accurate, I did pick up the following which is just making me think of Philip Glenister but can I find anything of him singing? No I bloody can't!!

Among the group of contestants was Phoenix, who was shown in their VT standing within a grand castle and explaining in a posh accent that “I am rather hot, aren’t I?”
“Fire” by Kasabian then played as Phoenix said that they had risen from the ashes and been “born anew” and “reincarnated”.
They also said that they were good with “mysteries” and “following a trail”, while Phoenix was shown inspecting foot prints with a magnifying glass.
Number clue: Twenty oh six
Phoenix then dropped one final clue, telling the judges that they have “been a catchphrase”.

He's most recently been playing Lord something or other in a show called Cathargo although that hasn't been aired here yet, so bit vague maybe?
Rising from the ashes made me think of Ashes to Ashes which came from life on mars - and then of course that's cop tv so inspecting footprints and stuff.
He was also in another police drama that was filmed in brighton - I know there was some rock in one of the vt shots.
2006 not sure - Life on Mars started in that year and apparently he was a cbeebies bedtime story reader
And been a catch phrase..... Gene Hunt 😂

Anyway....I'm just off to find another straw to clutch at....

I don't think Paddy is that slim in the midriff area any more.

I've never heard him attempt to disguise his strong accent. That doesn't mean he can't but I feel like he couldn't.

All the UK series have been won by female singers. I think Fawn winning would fit the pattern, but I like Phoenix best.

With the November 1st clue, I’d be very surprised if Fawn is anybody who wasn’t in All Saints.

From what I've seen online most are convinced it's Heidi range from the sugerbabes..my partner said one of the sugerbabes at the very beginning(but what does he know?!l
The other day I had the radio on in the background and was idly thinking who fawn could be...turns out it was a sugerbabe song(I didn't know it was) so subconsciously I heard Heidi and thought of fawn!
So that's my guess.
Want rhino to win because he's probably the better singer but it seems so obvious it's Charlie.
So based on that I'm thinking it should be phoenix or fawn.
I want phoenix to be Ricky but on last Saturdays show I thought he sounded pretty bad(the mica song in particular) and I am hoping Ricky would be better than that!?

I don't know who anyone is anymore Grin.

But I feel there have been too many All Saints type clues for it not to be an All Saint (lots of beach references/Sandy necklace- a comment about having sugar in her coffee but not Milk (black Coffee).

A tenuous connection (aren't they all ) I've gleaned from googling- is one of Fawn's clues was 'I've visited Wonderland but my name isn't Alice'. All Saints suported Take That on their Wonderland tour, apparently.

And there was a possible 'Lady Marmalade'clue that i've forgotten. Grin

My google search history will look a lot more normal after this weekend. Grin

The best I can do from Wikipedia is that Natalie Appleton once had a cameo in Grange Hill. Maybe she was in a maths lesson?

I keep reading that Fawn is going to win. I really hope not. I'm just not as engaged with Fawn as the Phoenix and Rhino. Plus I had wondered if this year they would try and push for a male winner.

I saw a clip of Dick Van Dyke as Gnome on the US TMS. What a legend.

He didn't move. Just stood invisible costume and an enormous gnome head!
