The Bill - What happened to Okaro?

Last night there was a new superintendant.

But where did Okaro go? I liked him. I know his family died in a car accident, but is that the reason he left?

Anyone know?? Put me out my misery!!

He did an undercover op and nearly got killed by his old friend. I think the stress got to him and he decided to take leave so I think he will be back some time in the future.

I thought he got set up by someone and was caught smoking dope?

He felt stressed from his family being killed. At the same time, he met an old mate of his who came to support him through the funeral.

At the same time, CID were doing lots of investigations into drug dealing (Sun Hill - seemingly the world capital of drug deals!) and his mate owned one of the companies involved in the deals. Okaro pretended to resign (on the strength of a photo of him smoking dope with this bloke) and went to work for his mate as a security bloke but what he was doing was feeding back info.

To cut a long story short, they caught this bloke just in time (after he beat Okaro up because they discovered he was feeding back info) and Okaro admitted he hadn't dealt with the death of his family and he was taking extended bereavement leave.
