Argggghhh! Have just looked at my Sky Plus and I have NO programmes waiting to be recorded. This is unheard of.

Brothers & Sisters has finished this week, True Blood a couple of weeks ago, The Good Wife has gone too, no Top Model (guilty pleasure)or Dexter imminent. Loved catching up on The West Wing when it was rerun a while ago.

I have Damages still to watch on the planner but what will I do after Wimbledon and the World Cup is over - apart from get a life.

Any recommendations, please? Like to record several episodes and watch them in a row and doesn't have to be new, something I may have missed the first time round but is on an obscure channel in the middle of the night is what Sky Plus was made for.

I am in the same boat - had to have my Sky box replaced last week and lost the entire Day 8 series of 24 which I hadn't started.

What else have you enjoyed? Lost, 24?

Saw a Sky van drive past today with Heroes plastered all over it - don't know what that is - need to look it up, also see when the series of 24 is being repeated. Shame to come this far and miss it.

One Tree Hill on E4 on Monday nights? Pretty trashy US drama.

I would highly recommend The Wire box set, or West Wing if you haven't seen the whole series.

Have you watched any Grey's Anatomy? If no, you can pick up box sets pretty cheaply and is good.

Substandard · 26/06/2010 20:08

Thanks everyone. I do have the West Wing first two series sitting on my shelf waiting to be watched with DP as I am sure he will love it as much as I loved the later series.

The Wire is also waiting for us - have seen the first two series but you really have to concentrate to follow the dialogue and this is not compatible with a two year old who refuses to stay in bed!

Will look out for the rest. Anything else to add to the list? Any idea when True Blood is back? I know it has restarted in the US already.

Britain's Next Top Model starts on Monday on Living.

JulesJules · 29/06/2010 12:41

I know, EVERYTHING has finished - True Blood, House, Bones, 30Rock, Glee, Modern Family...

There is no date for S3 of True Blood in the UK yet. Tragically I am following TrueBloodFxUk on twitter (they are also on Fb) as they say they will post the date here first when it is confirmed

We are watching box sets of Firefly (by Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy etc) and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. And football sigh

vmcd28 · 30/06/2010 22:39

Eli Stone started on Fiver last week, it was worth a look

anonacfr · 01/07/2010 08:57

Ooh I LOVE Firefly! Shame it was so short.

Fringe has also finished and there are only a couple of episodes of Grey's before that season ends too.

I've got a few boxsets that I've been saving up- American Gothic (I remember watching some of it when it was on TV) and after watching it nearly 20 years ago..... Twin Peaks!!!

I second Britain's Next Top Model- it starts this Monday and Elle McPherson is the new host. She's completely mental (and not in a good way) so it should be quite entertaining.

TracyK · 01/07/2010 22:02

Southlands starts tonight - producers of ER and guy from the OC.

I'm watching White Collar, Human Target, Modern Family and Private Practice - all American stuff.

Defo pick up Dexter - watched it on FX and it was fantastic.

Thanks everyone - some great suggestions that will save me from contemplating the bombsite that is my home.

If anyone does get a sniff of when True Blood is back can they post it in BIG letters in Chat so I don't miss it? Cheers.

Gets self comfy of sofa for Top Model Monday
