corrie catch up required due to sky + failure

I sky + the omnibus editions of the soaps as DH hates them and I watch them when he is working or out. I don't know what has happened, last episode I watched Gail was still in court and Hayley had just been lured into the factory. I started to watch tonight what I thought would be the next episode but Gail is free walking down the street, Hayley is in the cafe and announcing she is getting married and Carla has f'd off to SA.
Can anyone fill in the gaps for me?
Please ?

GAil was acquitted and has made up with Tina, who has miraculously cheered up. Tony took Carla and Hayley hostage, also Maria but he let her go. Robbie from prison was also in the factory. Tony let Maria go, shot robbie dead, torched the factory and died. Carla and Hayley escaped. Maria went back to Ireland. The factory was going bankrupt anyway. Whatsisname, binman, was supposed to be going to the World Cup with Ashley etc, but couldn't leave Carla, the rest of them decided not to go so he has taken Carla to SA for the Cup. Platts and Barlows have had a big bustup about Tracey testifying in the trial. Tracey got a good kicking in prison and admitted to Deirdre that she lied but didn't regret it because it was all for Amy.

Roy proposed to Hayley, who is showing no after effects of the hostage thing whatsoever after the first 24 hours. Think that's about it!

You make a pretty good point MrsDinky! Hahaha, I was thinking last night, who do you think wold be the nicest actor to meet in real life? I think Tony would be a nice guy.

Thank you thank you thank you.
Seems I missed a lot of exciting stuff then, typical! So Tony is definitely dead?

I missed those episodes, but ....... I thought they never found Richard Hillman's body in the canal, did they? I predict in years to come a giant villain face-off between Richard and Tony!

MrsDinky · 22/06/2010 20:06

Tina seems to have snapped out of her depression pretty suddenly too.

I'd like to meet Roy and Hayley in real life I think.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Tony was dead. TBH, there were so many episodes on that week that I whizzed through them a bit on the Sky+ too. Carla managed to get his gun at one point and fired a shot at him but didn't injure him much, the police arrested her for assault but released her without charge as he was dead anyway.

FabIsGettingFit · 22/06/2010 20:12

Tina and Graham snogged.

The police were able to tell that it was the fire that killed Tony and not Carla iirc.

MrsDinky, There is actually a competition on now where you can have a day on the Coronation street set if you want to meet Roy and Hayley.

Check it out:

Aha, I've only just made the connection (despite seeing adverts for Harveys Furniture every time I watch the Street). Well, I'd love to, but it is a very long way from where I live, so will pass this time, thanks anyway.

HarveysFurniture · 24/06/2010 14:25

Yeah, it is a bit far from London, but worth it to meet all the Corrie actors!

Anyway, if your interested you can have a look at the videos and cast your vote for the winner?

I am a bit behind. I think about 6 months in Oz. I am coming home though so this is a good catch up.

Can you tell me about the following though:

Why is Gail on trial - I presume something to do with Joe as I think he's dead?

What's the latest with Molly/Kevin/Sally?

Anything else big happened with the exception of the Tony/Carla storyline which I know about.

Thanks

Pingpong · 25/06/2010 21:40

Gail was on trial because Joe died suspiciously. He was in a lot of debt and the debt collectors were constantly at him and then threatening to go after his daughter. His solution was to come up with a plan to stage his own death and escape to Ireland. Gail wasn't keen and begged him not to do it so witnesses saw them arguing at the lakes by his boat. Instead of staging his own death he was hit over the head by part of the boat and he drowned. Instead of raising the alarm Gail kept quiet, got David up to help her bring the boat back to Weatherfield and kept his mobile phone and sent texts to his daughter and David sent flowers for her birthday (but supposed to be from Joe). When the neighbours asked where Joe was Gail said he had got work in the Lakes so had stayed up there.
Anyway his body was found and Gail's story didn't add up.
Not sure what is happening with Molly/Kevin/Sally TBH. Sally is off screen and has been for a while. She is supposed to be recovering with her sister after her breast cancer.
Molly and Tyrone were in a car accident after they took the car from the garage before Kev had finished work on it so the brakes were wonky. Molly thought Kev did it deliberately to get rid of the baby but they all survived. Molly wants to move away but I can't remember what happened and it all seems to have gone on the back burner.
Sally and Tyrone don't know what's been going on as far as I know but Bill and Molly's aunty both know so it probably won't stay a secret....
