nikki1978 · 18/06/2010 18:59

What time??!!

Bomper · 18/06/2010 19:03

Errmm, haven't got that far in my investigations yet. Sometime next week as it was in my TV Mag!! Just got over excited at the thought of Moss. Did you know the Irish bloke is going out with Gail Porter in rl?

What day?
what time?
what channel?

come on come on, don't leave us all hanging

spikemomma · 18/06/2010 22:09

I LOVE IT! The theatre episode with the wheelchair was an absolute classic! Can't wait for this series.

sharbiebowtiesarecool · 18/06/2010 22:11

Have you seen the countdown trailer??

winstonstimpson · 19/06/2010 10:56

No, it's Dawn Porter, not Gail!

sockmonkey · 19/06/2010 11:10

"I came here to drink milk and kick ass"
Moss reminds me so much of my little brother. Love the IT crowd.

NetworkGuy · 19/06/2010 11:36

Friday, Channel 4, 22:00

It will be series 4, episode 1...

I didn't know there had been a third series... but then again, had been without TV for 30+ months until this year.

I can recommend using the TV Schedule page on Five.tv (if you register with e-mail address and password, you can choose which channels to have displayed).

Company Digiguide has been doing a Windows application for years but the web browser version is almost as good and completely free.

The latest version of the Windows software was so complicated to use I lost interest in the first couple of days of the two week trial, so never considered paying them an annual fee for it (and I am normally open-minded enough to try and try and try again with software - have been in IT for 30 years now!)

Cast list:
Richard Ayoade
Chris O'Dowd
Katherine Parkinson
Matt Berry

NetworkGuy · 19/06/2010 11:39

PS Wiki says a fifth series has been commissioned.

catinthehat2 · 19/06/2010 14:42

Thank you!

skihorse · 20/06/2010 18:16

The first episode is available on 4od.

NetworkGuy · 21/06/2010 16:39

Are you going to be outside the UK for the whole series ?

Does your ISP or national laws have penalties for using Torrents to download any material like this ?

Just curious as I found Series 1, 2, and 3 were available for download as .AVI files (many applications will play them).

skihorse · 21/06/2010 17:40

I've got the first three series on DVD so was planning to download series 4 from torrents... I reckon being as it's the IT crowd there will be enough geeks to upload!

I live in NL, I think we invented filestealingsharing!

NetworkGuy · 21/06/2010 23:13

LOL. Do you have any relations in the UK or Belgium ? Think that Belgian cable services may include Channel 4 as they used to carry BBC and doubt anyone in Belgium pays the extra 140 quid for a licence !!

Saw a gizmo on a Guardian page the other day which is a Freeview receiver with support to record onto SD card or USB stick.

With episodes of 30 25 minutes the episodes are likely to be under 350 MB each, so will probably all fit on a 2 GB stick - but then again if it supports an 8 GB stick (or an external hard drive) it would be relatively easy to do a file transfer from one machine in the UK to yours in NL.

skihorse · 22/06/2010 03:52

I lived in Belgium for about 6 years (Brussels, Flanders & wallonia) and never once got C4 as part of the cable package. I did however stick a satellite up and get it free-to-air, but for various reasons can't do that right now.

I've already downloaded episode 1 - so as I suspected, the people who watch this show are already on the case! Did you see btw the competition they did with series 2? Apparently the first (and only!) winning entry they had was from a guy in Germany - but because he lives outside the UK they couldn't give him the prize... but he must've downloaded the episodes because his answer came back before the boxset was out.

BendyBob · 22/06/2010 05:30

OMG I can't wait! Love LOVE The IT Crowd.

I wonder if Richmond will be in it. I have a sort of creepy crush on Richmond..well all of them if I'm honest!

NetworkGuy · 22/06/2010 10:38

skihorse - never knew about any competition, and to be honest, don't remember exactly when the second series was on (I was without TV for a while).

Must have been wrong about BBC signals to Belgium. Remember watching BBC when in a Rotterdam hotel though, still, that might have been via some subscription service they paid.

The youngest of my sisters worked in Belgium around 35 years ago, for a millionaire living in Wavre, with an English wife (my sister trained as a nanny, went with the family on their vacations in Switzerland, Paris and down to Cannes... normally came home every couple of months, but when they went to Cannes, they suggested our Mum fly out at their expense to see her and enjoy the villa and yacht... had a Spanish couple as Driver/Butler and Cook).

BendyBob - presume you did see skihorse mention the first episode is on 4 on Demand service... You can watch it today if your connection is fast enough.

AnyFucker · 22/06/2010 10:40

Absolutely love this programme

I love the creepy boss of the "company" and Moss is genius

skihorse · 22/06/2010 11:03

BBC 1 & 2 are standard by cable, but the other UK channels have to be done via satellite - although apparently if you live on the coast you can get ITV via a standard arial (or at least could I suppose until everything went digital). As for the family your sister worked for... I wonder if that was the same family whose daughter married the "playboy" Prince? She was the daughter of a rich Wallon family with an English mum.

AnyFucker - Moss is an absolute genius! Our conversations at home are liberally sprinkled with Moss-isms.

skihorse · 22/06/2010 12:39

Must be good, bf just got home from work and is watching it now with headphones on - he's already laughed very loudly and he's only had it on 2 minutes!

twolittlemonkeys · 22/06/2010 12:43

Wooohoo! I love the IT Crowd. Moss is hilarious. DH and I have Seasons 1-3 on DVD so we can re-watch againandagainandagain!

BendyBob · 22/06/2010 13:20

All set up to record .

I keep thinking of the how to speak about football as though you understand it episode.

So relevant to me atm as I have no earthly idea how to converse about the World Cup or any other football related subject come to that.

'Did you see that ludicrous display last night' is in fact the only thing I can say but it seems to be relevant judging by the sombre nods of agreement I get

skihorse · 22/06/2010 13:36

"e's 'avin' a larf"

I will never, ever tire of the theatre episode. Or Peter File. You're making it go back in.

BendyBob · 22/06/2010 13:45

Omg yes the theatre episode...I nearly choked to death watching that.

And, and the one where Moss invents a bra and they all end up on Dragons Den

(I'm getting over excited now)
