Anyone else watching V on Syfy?

DH was desperate to watch this and I tried to be open minded and sat down with him to watch. Its nearing the series finale and I think its really good!

We've only seen first few episodes but it's ok to quite good at times. I was expecting another battlestar which dh LOVED and I slept through most of!

I'm enjoying it. I remember watching it as a child (big sis babysittting= no bedtime) and wanting to be Diana (the original Anna)even though she was a giant evil lizard. She was very glam.

Also didn't realise it was nearly over.

I never saw the original, which was also meant to be good. Anna gives me chills, she is deliciously bad! She reminds me of Sylar in Heroes who only had to raise an eyebrow and he was scary.

The original was fun- so far I am enjoying this one too. I like the new Anna (she was in Firefly) and the FBI girl is good, even though I hated her in Lost.
Her son and his California Barbie V girlfriend are massively annoying though. I'd just let him go off on the V ship and never come back!

It feels like there have only been a few episodes yet, is it really nearly over?
I hate it when all the series end at the same time. What am I going to do with my summer??? Back to boxsets I think.

I'm waiting to see if there is going to be a conflict as with the original series or if it will always be this fifth column resistance (against what?)

It was obvious in the last episode that the V's are experimenting on people so hopefully that storyline will explode before the end of series.

I guess Anna wants to produce her own hybrid lizard/human, seeing how threatened she was when she found out that bitch-from-24-season-2 was pregnant.

I want to see more of the 5th column, so far (and I'm an episode behind) they seem to be sad computer geeks who all got killed off by the human sniper.
We need good-looking guys on TV now that Lost has finished!

And have you noticed the FBI woman who is also a V is one of the Five from Battlestar?

I think the season will possibly finish with Anna's daughter going over to the Fifth Column.

Can't work out the TV newsman though - he's on the V's side?

I've really got into V too.
The one thing I find annoying is that t hey refer to the Visitors/Aliens as V's. Its so irritating. In the original series V was for victory.
ANd that smarmy tv guy (who I think looks amazingly like Michael J. Fox) definitely needs a good slap!
Can't wait to see his comeuppence!

I think Anna's daughter is going to cross over too. She is obviously affected by her human encounters with the boy whose name I can't remember either. And that V doctor one knows as well because he faked the test that was supposed to detect which Vs showed emotion. So maybe he'll suggest it to her.

TV guy I can't figure out at all.

TV guy reminds me of Michael Sheen when he played Tony Blair, all smarmy smiles.

Can't work outhow he knew the priest was fifth column though - I mean if it's that easy surely the V's picked up on it.

Anna's daughter must go over to the fifth column. She has feelings for whatshisname and is trying to protect him.

Still think TV guy is a double double agent or something, he will be good at the end.

Ooh, glad to hear you're all enjoying it. I kep meaning to start a thread as I've been Skyplussing it since the beginning but not got around to watching it, and wondered whether it was any good. I'll start fitting it into my evenings, then.

Did I get this wrong, but didn't the V's do something to the priest? I'm sure they gave him one of those dodgy vaccines so I think something is going to kick off with that soon.
