hoorah! new series has started!!!

surely i'm not the only adult who thinks it's fab!!!?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 01/06/2010 17:16

it's fab!

tiredemma · 01/06/2010 17:18

I love the new advert for it!!

lazarusb · 02/06/2010 21:39

I love it too..added it to Timmy Time & Sorry I've got no head in my favourite children's programmes list

harpsichordcarrier · 02/06/2010 21:41

it is FANTASTIC
I loved Charles II doing Eminem today
it is the best programme on tv imo

notnowbernard · 02/06/2010 21:47

It's brilliant

DD1 (6) LOVES it

And she's remembered SO much from it... is especially fascinated by the Tudor era, which impresses my (childless) friends no end

(Haven't the guts to tell them it's because she's memorised the historical facts by watching it repeatedly on catch-up)

BallpointPen · 02/06/2010 21:50

The combo of new series and half term is perfect, otherwise I'd be sat here at 10am, no kid and cbbc on.

GettinTrimmer · 03/06/2010 12:56

I loved Charles I as Eminem as well Harps.

When ds was doing the Romans at school he knew all about their habits, food, etc, even the sponge on a stick as loo paper!

Also we thought the four Georges boy band song was brilliant, ds knows about the mad one, the fat one, the bad one...

zisforzebra · 03/06/2010 17:52

We all love Horrible Histories in our house. DS1 has recently started getting the books from the library too. It's brilliant.

jenniepanda · 03/06/2010 23:10

Another big hit here with DDs. 3 year old walks round everywhere singing "stupid deaths, stupid deaths"!

TheFallenMadonna · 03/06/2010 23:15

Nothing touches the 4 Georges ("Born 2 Rule"), but Charles II was ace. DS played it 3 times

I found it rather disconcerting to see several of the HH stalwarts on The Armstrong and Miller Show.

bea · 03/06/2010 23:44

aha! Born To Rule... dd1 and ds1 have disussions about who in the family is the bad one, sad one (dd), mad one (ds) and they designated dd2 (who is 3) as the fat one!!! (not at all!)they sort of know that it's rude so have not given me or dh the illustrious title and given it to poor dd2!

I love Divorced Beheaded and Died... oh yes and The Greek song is fab.... in fact i love all the songs.... so so clever... did you see todays.'Girls Aloud' WW2 Ladies...

and is that David Baddiel reading the ghost stories???

OP posts:
SaintIncognita · 04/06/2010 18:11

the scary stories that aren't very scary at all. Great fun.

'Stupid deaths, stupid deaths, hope next time it's not yoooou' is a common refrain round these parts. As is 'In your imaginaaation', but that's from 'I'm sorry I've got no head' which is equally funny.

nymphadora · 04/06/2010 18:18

I love it but can't watch any more as it makes me throw up

Katisha · 04/06/2010 18:21

DSs are manically singing one about if you want to harm a llama call a llama farmer today...

tillywee · 07/06/2010 22:21

we love it.....lol my kids like the stupid deaths song aswell

ThatVikRinA22 · 07/06/2010 22:31

oooo i love it too! watched a full day of it on bank hol monday!

Katisha · 07/06/2010 22:35

However it does seem to be the only thing on CBBC at the moment.

FlightyButPolite · 07/06/2010 22:38

love it! ok, am I the only one who will admit to developing an (unhealthy?) crush on Ben Willbond who is George I?

bronze · 07/06/2010 22:41

I love death from it, theres something about the way he talks.

I'm looking forward to the new stuff seen the old ones far too many times

piratecat · 07/06/2010 22:42

it#s brilliant, totally brilliant british programme making.

my friend caught an episode when she was over from the states, (she was brought up in the uk) and said, thats what i miss, good kids tv.!!

piratecat · 07/06/2010 22:44

oh if we are talking crushes I have had a crush on Dc Harry Bat from Dick and Dom for about 2 yrs now.

great actor, I LOVE the legend of Dick and Dom too!!!

ThatVikRinA22 · 07/06/2010 23:02

Saint - ive only just discovered the delight that its "sorry - youve got no head" but i think its as funny as The Fast Show - its fab.

whenever i say anything now DD turns to DH and they both croon "in your imaginaaaation"...has em in stitches!
