Its annoying me. How long will it go on for?

The sooner they get rid of Tracey again the better as far as I'm concerned. Actually felt sorry for Gail this week, which really takes some doing.

The sooner they get rid of Helen Worth, the better. I'm tired of her breathless acting style and I think that she's been very fortunate to have been in the same job for so long. You would think that she might want to stretch herself by auditioning for other programmes and plays after so many years in the same role. Time for some new blood in Coronation St?

I can't wait for the whole storyline to finish, I hate the miscarriage of justice type stories and we've done it once with Deidre. If we never saw Gail, David and Nick ever again it'd be too soon.

I agree, ditch Tracy she is shite with her sneaky smiles behind people's backs. She might has well have a twirly moustache and a dark coat, she's so blardy obvious.

I hate any kind of court type story line in anything (except the Good Wife) and Im loathing this one. Get rid of them all expect Audrey!! and that girl locked in her flat is getting on my nerves also.

I watch Corrie in HD now and it's absolutely terrifying.....

Same as Kittya, I can't stand court and prison story lines, would there ever be so many people going through all that in rl that live on the same street? (Well, normally anyway).

Corrie's a bit 'meh' at the minute.

I was trying to think how many characters had been in prison - Deirdre, Tracy, Gail, Steve, Jim (McDonald), Becky... Who else? There must be more.

That bloke that Gail married who just died, was he in for burglary of the GP's?

I agree re Nigel Havers and Audrey's money. Didn't he show her a postcard of some property or an island or something he 'dreamed' of getting away to/owning or similar. I think he's going to persuade her to invest and then run off with the cash. And Rita will have been Right All Along.

I havent got HD but her flift has grown on me. Sometimes I think, sod it, if I was her age and had the money. I bet she is high maintanence in RL. I dont know why I think that, the others seem so down to earth when you see them interviewed. Methinks she has a touch of the Shirley Bassey about her.

Talking of cosmetic surgery, I'd love to see what Helen Worth would look like with a chin implant - not politically correct but I can't help thinking that. It would be a vast improvement.

Incidentally, am I the only one who finds it odd when people discuss the intrinsic appearance of a character and refer to them by that name rather than the the actor whose face/body they're really talking about? It's as though fantasy and reality merge. Helen Worth's face would be the same face, whatever character she was assuming - the clothes, hair, personality and gait can change but the facial structure remains the property of the actor.

I think it is over the top that they are bringing back Tony with an escape from Prison story at the same time as the Gail and Tracey stories - enough!

Gail must be the stupidest organism on the face of the earth. Ok, so she gets taken in (repeatedly) by her own son, but to be taken in by Tracey? She deserves to go down for beign so utterly dim.

(And not buying this whole rolling pin twist, it's let down the whole storyline, which was otherwise good.)

I dont know about it being good but, I do know what you mean. Bloody rolling pin. I never!!! Talking of characters and their real life looks I know you cant take away someones face but I do love it when people tell me they dont recognise me out of work. It gives me a kick. So maybe Gail/Helen scrubs up really well?

Kitty, I on'y refer to their character name from sheer lazyness, I have never bothered to learn the actors names.

I actually saw the actress playing Gail Tilsley Platt McIntyre a few years ago in Manchester and tbh she really didn't look as bad as she does in tv.

I think the big hair accentuates the tiny head on screen.

I think also the fact that Gail (character) tucks her chin in and looks up at people in that martyred sort of way makes her look more chinless than she probably is in RL.

Although we all rubbished the Steve/Becky adoption storyline as unrealistic on another thread last week, I am enjoying that one more from the Becky/Tracey/who is the best mother for Amy point of view, much better than the Gail stuff, and more realistic (if you can get past the fact that the adoption is so unlikely).
