It's following the lives of six families in a scheme in Kilmarnock.

I've worked in some rough places in Glasgow, but OMG.

You can probably catch it on iplayer. It's a series, so set the recorder for next week.
It takes dysfunctional to a new level.

I loved Bullet's raised eyebrow at the sickening sight of Marvin and his girlfriend snogging.

Every town has folk like that. They showed the worst three or four families. Not really a balanced picture of Kilmarnock (I hope).

Apparently she is 37. I could have sworn she was 50+. There is something about her, that I can't quite put my finger on, that I find deeply unpleasant.

I grew up not a million miles away from there, in a very similar "scheme", it is rough as guts there, and no while it is not a fully balanced portrayal- it doesn't show the terrified pensioners- it is not sensationalised in my view.

Oh, it is a shame indeed. Marvin and his GF and Kay with her waifs and strays...it is all so complex and chaotic. Where to begin?

I was particularly depressed to see Kay feeding off others woe at the neglect of her own daughters.

Yeah, Kay depressed me too, and the voiceover that talked about her "helping" them. I feel really sorry for her youngest daughter.

BTW, do you know what age Marvin is?

29! I'd have put him in his late 40s.
