Has anyone else been watching this? What do you think of the first two episodes?

The one about the Bronnikov method made me angry, especially where he was telling the boy with Cerebral Palsy that he could walk again. It's such an awful thing to give false hope for monetary gain! (700 euros!)

And as for the interview at the end, how aggressive did he get when asked reasonable questions??

Talking about aggression, it was the same for the show about the Medium.

Is anyone else sensing a theme here? Surely if you really wanted to prove the validity of your claims you'd volunteer for scientific testing, rather than get defensive and nasty about it?

I really don't like how with both of these shows, the conmen practitioners turned the blame onto their victims clients when it didn't work out. I especially like the "psychic" saying to the woman in the audience when she told him she couldn't think of anything to do with what he'd suggested, "well I can think, and a lot faster than you". Charming!

I haven't watched last night yet, but saw the first one.
Agree with you that they always blame the client.
Even on another forum I used to frequent there was a board for spiritual healing etc and when someone wasn't healed they would blame the victim for not believing enough. One poor women was being more and more sucked in and was blaming herself, it was so wrong.
People obviously get comfort from these charlatans but it's still wrong.

I only saw the one about the 'psychic' guy. He was appallingly bad wasn't he? So defensive and rude to his clients too.

I've been to a couple of shows along those lines - one was with Derek Acorah. But I've come to the conclusion that it's uncomfortable viewing to turn grief and loss into a 'show'. I don't think I'd go to another.

Even if it is genuine (which I sort of doubt) I still question the integrity of someone who would make entertainment out of other people's sadness whether the audience are willing or not.
