...because I have to say....she is dreadful!!...but I did agree that her old dad couldn't have managed to live upstairs in the attic.

And they're quite...um...old to have young children aren't they....I mean, I actually know lots of people who are older parents and have had their kids in their late 40s, but they're not just old in years....they seem like an older generation somehow...so...

...well, I'm totally out of order and a horrible judgey pants, but isn't that why we watch location location?

Really Noddy?? Well assuming you've either got massive cahoonas or you too only buy houses that are in the right 'Nice' postcode - but judging from your earlier comments I'm going to go with the former!

Her red jacket (posh woman) made my tv strobe!

Mum72 · 13/05/2010 22:19

She had great amusement value I thought. If not for her snobbish comments but her red jacket with gold buttons!!

I loved the way Phil said he wouldn't want to be in their marriage - i.e. "i'd hate to be married to you, love".

singsinthebath · 14/05/2010 00:10

Also I love the way they always seem to give the lesbians to Kirstie. Is she a lesbian icon?

PricklyThistle · 14/05/2010 00:15

I was too busy on FB and MN (lurking) to watch the detail, but listened to DH saying 'there's nothing else on TV so we have to watch it' and the various comments about how horrendous the wife was (the LL wife, not me ). Did hear the postcode comment. Yuck.

amidaiwish · 14/05/2010 00:21

i know that area well, i just wish phil had taken her to a house she would have been happy with, in the "postcode" she wanted and then said to her "unfortunately this house is £2.5m" (that is realistic, honest)

so either downgrade area
or change your spec
or get your silly arse to work and earn some money

love.

I am quite local to this....

So my instant history of this pair - she of "old money" family now slightly down at heel. Feels she should have married one of those hedge fund chaps like her old school pals but actually ended up (quite late in the day) with an ordinary business man hence "only" having a budget of £1m. She is DESPERATE to have a KT11 postcode come what may as to have anything less would mean social death at the Prep school coffee mornings. No-one would take their Porcshe Cayennes to Pyrford for God's sake. He, not quite beleiving his luck at having bagged such a classy bird basically does what he is told and wold have been happy with the first of the 150 houses they previously viewed....

Nymphadora · 14/05/2010 11:58

They nearly went with that house giving him a much longer commute just cos she wanted it. I felt v sorry for him as he had no input in the decisions.

Rossco · 14/05/2010 12:05

She was awful and I was shocked at her comments about the postcode and not wanting to wake up looking at 'those'.

If her father is 90 then she must at least be in her 50's unless her mother much younger than her father?

smallorange · 14/05/2010 12:27

My favourite Location's are the ones with 30-something professional couple newly expecting PFB. She wants a mansion with 15 acres in the countryside, a family kitchen ( the heart of thr home- vomit) a large garden and lots of bedrooms for admirers to stay in while she does her Nigella act.

titchy · 14/05/2010 12:28

I know they got what they wanted in the end, but don't understand why Phil didn't focus on Cobham in the first place. There are plenty of big detached houses in their budget in Cobham. None of them are Victorian, but they seemed to be agreeing that they wouldn't be able to find a Victorian one anyway.

The house that Phil showed them that they really liked was HORRIBLE!!
