Freaked out by Shameless - The Joe`s Dad`s funeral episode. {Beware spoiler}

I was really screwed up after watching the scene where Joes dads body was at the end of the street, it affected me for a few days, the shock of it, has anyone else been affected by it ? My husband and freind watched it and dint think much of it. Is it just me ??

I veer between abject horror and admiration for the sheer darkness of the scriptwriting. I assumed that he had done something to the baby when Joe started retching. DH and I were gobsmacked.
What scares me more is that this kind of thing occasionally happens in real life

No, it affected me too. I didn't sleep properly that night and I have a very black humour. It was a bit rank, tbh...

i am so addicted to the show but cannot work out why! it is so funny but so sad and so bitter at the same time.

must admit that i did not get upset at the scene mentioned, but thinking about it now, it is horrific.

Was a pretty grim scene but the whole show is pretty grim. I LOVE it though. There are some really deep story lines and it delves into subjects other script writers wouldnt touch with a barge pole. I dont admit it in rl that I like it though.... its a secret!

It bothered me too, still does now a bit! It was twisted and I found it really, really disturbing.

I still love Shameless though. Last in the series last night wasn't it?

I nearly wet myself laughing at the most recent episode where watsisname fell through the pub floor! Had to rewind and watch it again, and it made me laugh even more!
