How does she do it? Runs the Vic, a beauty salon, goes out clubbing whenever she fancies...

Eastenders is a real to life soap isn't it.....?

i think the dog she used to have looks after it!

MoonMagic · 04/05/2010 16:25

Is that how you bring up a baby? Give birth, send it away until it's teenage and can make stroppy comments and thus produce a storyline? Seems so easy!!! She doesn't even have a childminder!

Maybe she is with Rachel from Friends baby, being looked after by the TV nanny.

All soap opera babies go upstairs to play with their toys and re-emerge as stroppy if reasonably photogenic teenagers.

Another great soap dilemma - the post 9/11 transferable airline ticket. "Oh I've decided not to go to Spain/Florida/Rio because my boyfriend/hitherto unknown child/missing grandparent has turned up - here, you go instead tonight, I'll call the taxi...."

Yesterday all the Beales were in the cafe - except invisiBobby

lazymumofteenagesons · 05/05/2010 12:44

The dog lead had a major part last night just incase we'd forgotten him.I think he minds the baby.

motheroftwoboys · 05/05/2010 14:07

Children babies and animals -because of working hours and chaperone/minder charges are far too expeniseve - hence you don't see them much. Babies hours are particularly restrictive - if I remember they can "work" for 40 minutes a day only and only at certain hours of the day. Far too difficult to schedule.

And why with all her money does she buy a nissan quashqai (spelling?!)

And does she just intend to drive it over the market stalls- it doesn't look like it would fit past them.

(Dh was watching hence the car model knowledge)

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 05/05/2010 14:14

It's a typical TV baby, it's born, then vanishes for a couple of years and reappears as either an older child or a teenager. They also have a tendency to pop out very clean aswell, they rarely bathe, rarely have a nappy change, rarely need any clothes as their 'parents' never go shopping for them, don't have the terrible 2's as they have vanished into the unknown. It's like magic! If only real life was the same hey!

MoonMagic · 06/05/2010 00:18

Roxy never seems to have a sleepless night.... oh envy....!

lol at babies, dh thought the same, before roxy would say baby was with archie (granddad) but obv cant now

i did think that peggy/ronnie/roxy /phil were all out of the vic and who the hell had baby at night?

all they need to do is say like dawn used to do that she was droppping off summer at the nursery

grumpalumpa · 07/05/2010 15:31

Roxys baby is with all the other eastenders babys..... on its own upstairs!!! I started to feel quite sorry for Tanya/Max's baby as that was 'upstairs' for weeks on end although they did all make sure not to shout so as not to wake the baby!!!!

PollyTicks · 07/05/2010 15:36

Oscar was badly neglected. Occasionally Tanya would rescue him from 'upstairs', shove him in the pram and march around to Dot's / Pat's / Hev's / some other random neighbour's house so she could go out on the lash.

Roxy is going the same way.

Hev's baby is still a newborn who sleeps all day in his pram in the launderette, despite the fact that he must be pushing a year old by now...

DO you remember how the WEbster children on Corrie were treated as small children?

Bellow into hallway to non existent child - "Go upstairs RosieandSophie to wash yer ands".

No wonder the eldest has turned out the way she has.
