Anyone else watching this? I don't remember seeing a thread about it.

I'm really enjoying it. It's nothing amazing but the cast is good, it's well acted and I like the fact that the cases are resolved at the end of each episode. Makes a pleasant change from the rest of the series I watch (I'm a huge Lost and Damages fan).

It's fast becoming one of my looking-forward-to show. I also think Will and Alicia have the best chemistry- they had a great 'moment' in the last episode, and I'm actually hoping for an Alicia/Will/husband love triangle.

I agree with you - not a classic but very watchable and the ongoing storylines are well acted and drip fed enough to kep your interest.

I started watching it alone but dh has decided he likes it too!

I thought it started ok but im a bit bored with it now.

I love the storylines regarding Alicia personal life but just find the legal cases really boring.

The only episode I really enjoyed was the one with the authadox (sp) jewish couple.

OH we love this. Recorded the first one and had it on series link so didnt get around to watching anymore until recently and then we had a massive afternoon fix of it.

Now can't wait until the next one.

Loved this week's where Kalinda was on the stand and completely out-foxed "Client 12".

I know! I love the way she gave Childs a wicked grin afterwards. She's so cool!

We've just watched the episode we recorded this week. One of the few things on series link - which is just as well, as it's started to travel about the schedule.

I am intrigued, though, BigBadMummy, because I don't recognise the episode you mention. I am recording from Channel 4 - is it on E4 or something as well?

saadia · 30/04/2010 23:06

I find this really watchable too - particularly like the Diane character. There seem to be so few good roles in US shows for older women.

anonacfr · 30/04/2010 23:23

purpleturtle it might be the one that's just about to show on Channel 4. I have the series on Sky+ and it seems to record from both channels.

It's the one where Kalinda is subpoenaed (sp?) by Childs to testify that Peter's committed perjury.

I am just in awe of Alicia's eyebrows, and amazingly-calm-in-face-of-crisis face.

Then had horrible thought that maybe she is botoxed into calmness and shows face of icy calm because she has no other choice.

Then felt bad as SHE CAN DO NO WRONG.

Kalinda is marvellous, I want to be her. I am probably the polar opposite of her, ie will fart and trip over things in when put on the spot.

lolcat · 01/05/2010 00:24

I don't think it's botox. She also had that calm in the face of crisis face way back in the days when she was Carol Hathaway in ER.

Juliana Margulies won a best actress golden globe this year for her role in The Good Wife. I like her and the programme, but frankly I think January Jones from Mad Men was robbed.

anonacfr · 01/05/2010 08:53

So was Glenn Close in Damages.
Apparently the theory is that she won because she's well-liked, hadn't done anything in a while and is now in a successful show.

It's the Globes equivalent of Sandra Bullock's win for the Blind Side. Or Julia Roberts for Erin Brokovitch.

purple We were watching on Channel 4 but then last week discovered that More 4 shows them first.

If you look at Channel 4 OD on tinternet they are listed.

It is the episode called "hi" that has bit in it.

Twas vair good.

purpleturtle · 01/05/2010 22:22

Thank, BBM. Will take a look at that.

MrsDinky · 01/05/2010 23:02

I'm enjoying it too, am about 4 episodes behind at the moment (got behind when Masterchef was on and haven't caught up). Seems like a slowburner, but oddly compelling, I like all the main characters. Alicia perhaps a bit too good to be true though? Seems to win every case she touches, which considering she had not worked for a long time is a bit on the lucky side.
