Last nights 'how the other half live'

Now I know it is fantastic that these kids have been given private eduction until they are 18 but they no longer want to go home. They still live in an area where people get murdered and there relationship with there mother will change forever.

Surely it would have been better to get them a house in a better area with a better public school.

I also thought that it's a great shame that the other children living in the same area and not picked out by virtue of TV exposure, should be able to get a great education locally and live in a safe environment - as should every child in this, let's face it, very wealthy country. (Well, apart from the massive deficit...)

I think this country should adopt the idea of sponcering a poor family. I mean loads of people do it for children in Africa.
