I love Michael!!!!!!!!!!!

BendyBob · 28/04/2010 09:30

I loved the way he had a few minutes to kill waiting for Jac in the car, so he starts eyeing up a passer-by. Lol

he was rawing our attention to the arrival of surprise sister!

BendyBob · 28/04/2010 09:34

Ooh I see! I thought he was giving her the old Spence once-over. I missed that...Duh!

ooh I missed it.. tell please

lilmissmummy · 28/04/2010 09:41

I nearly fell off my chair when the girl walked in and said "mum??"

Bythepower here is the episode writeup from the BBC...

"After their operation, Jac's mum went missing. Discharging herself Jac eventually found Paula at her grandfather's house. Jac realised that her mother had been deceiving her when she discovered her half-sister. She rushed out and collapsed into the arms of Michael. Back on the ward, Faye tried to tell Joseph that she was pregnant, but backed out at the last minute."

Definitely worth watching on iplayer!

lilmissmummy · 28/04/2010 09:42

I wanted to slap her mother!!!

lostinwales · 28/04/2010 09:44

Holby rocks at the moment! But I had nightmares over the puss scene (and I've worked in A&E and theatres!). Can someone enlighten me as to who Faye's baby's father is?

BendyBob · 28/04/2010 09:52

Aaargh at Faye starting all that secretive/ looking pained malarky again. The woman is never ever happy

I guess the baby could be Joseph's. But will she try and pass it off as Linden's I wonder?

OP posts:
lostinwales · 28/04/2010 09:55

And how old is Linden/his daughter (sorry returning to Holby after a couple of years off) is there anywhere I can do a comprehensive catch up?

BendyBob · 28/04/2010 10:01

Not sure how old the daughter is but they became reunited and lo and behold, in typical Holby style, her dad gets her a job on his ward in quite a hands on job which I imagine you'd need quite a bit of training for in rl.

Gosh I'm not sure where you'd find a long term catch up but just watch it a couple of times and you'll be sucked back in, I bet.

Please explain... I am a sometime viewer of Holby (loved Casualty in the olden days). Anyway, I know enough to know who is who but don't remember to watch it every week...

Faye lost her son a few months back, right? (that's not particularly relevant, just establishing facts). Before that, her and Joseph where whittering about having children and the fact that she (he?) didn't think they could have more children. Cue gnashing of teeth and many pained looks from Faye. Am I right so far? Twas around the time that whatshername had the baby in a lift and I think it was Joseph who delivered it? So why isn't Faye cartwheeling at being pg?

HinnyPet · 28/04/2010 10:11

Cos the baby may be Joseph's or it may be Linden's.
And she carries the gene for a genetic disorder, her son had it, (not sure of his name or name of disorder) and if she has another boy he may also have it.

BendyBob · 28/04/2010 10:15

Yes all that is correct Rockbird. But Faye can never be happy() and since she married Joseph has harboured feelings for Linden and he for her which eventually all came out. This went on for many episodes - lots of pained expressions and whispering in side rooms and praying on Linden's part etc - until Joseph found out and punched Linden on the nose.

Strangely they're all still trying to work together though.

The baby could be Joseph's cos she slept with him, albeit reluctanly (I don't know why he bothered so much with her tbh) just before they split up.

Rockbird · 28/04/2010 10:21

Aaaah ok, was wondering where Linden slotted into this. Right so questionable parentage + possibility of genetic disorder = Faye up shit creek..again.

Thanks And yes, poor Jac.

lostinwales · 28/04/2010 10:24

Ooh it's just all really well written at the moment, have only been back to it since those Dr's got held hostage/shot but it's been brilliant. Casualty on the other hand seems to have been half written with good storylines half handed over to the gap year student for filler bits. (Don't get me started on the whole broken neck/student Dr scenario, they were told to intubate FFS, and SOMEONE had cleared the CSpine x-rays gaaaah)

I´m hooked watching again.

Hope Faye leaves soon though.
All that about Joseph wanting children & her not & then marrying her anyway.
And now she´s left him & is pregnant by him I assume

Almost felt sorry for Jac-but isn´t that pretty much how she treats people?-eg refusing to see her sister?

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 28/04/2010 22:01

God just watched it on Iplayer!!

what a bitch, I thought my mum was bad but she is in a different league!

wonka · 28/04/2010 23:16

Thank you ladies.. I'd have missed that one if I hadn't seen this!
I still felt sorry for Jac.

Doodleydoo · 28/04/2010 23:21

Ooh got it to watch on sky +, sounds good!

streakybacon · 29/04/2010 08:56

But have Faye and Linden actually done the deed yet? He backed off when Joseph told him she'd had L on the reserve bench all along, and it's never (to my knowledge) been established whether they've actually got it together yet.

My feeling was that they haven't, that the baby is therefore Joseph's, but there's not a cat in hell's chance that he'll believe Faye after all the porkies she's told him over the years.

Love Holby

EVye · 30/04/2010 20:03

I just caught up with this on Sky+

I hope Jac and Michael get together.
