It still has funny bits, but I agree that it feels forced.

Who wore long sleeved t-shirts?

satc2bringiton · 25/04/2010 20:25

I thought the tennis one was the funnisest so far.

The kids are coming across a bit bratty now though like Karen saying 'oh stop banging on'

I liked the calendar scene - very real, and could totally happen in our house.

MrsDinky · 25/04/2010 22:35

Tend to agree, it has lost something. They need to bring back the relatives (Grandad and the self centred Aunty), the best episodes have been when the kids have shown the parents up in public big time (the airport and wedding ones spring to mind). I liked the conversation with Jake and Mum in the car when he pointed out that ogling builders was the same as ogling girls in ths street.

SixtyFootDoll · 25/04/2010 22:41

YEs still like it now,
the calender bit was ME, when did the script witer hear me saying that to DH?!!

2shoes · 25/04/2010 22:44

ok is it me....
but has the youngest boy got sn??
Everywekk I await his dx

2shoes · 25/04/2010 22:45

(and for me to learn to type)

cornsilk · 25/04/2010 22:48

I'd like to see more about school I think. Bet the teachers of the younger 2 would have stuff to say about them. I liked the chess thing last week.

Clary · 26/04/2010 00:21

I actually liked this episode the best of this series so far.

Laughed more than once.

Karen a bit annoying now tho. And who knows a 7yo called Karen? Surely they are all 37 (or even 47!)

SixtyFootDoll · 26/04/2010 12:36

I always thought that Clary - I know lots of Karens my age.

I liked the chess one too, black the colour of death..

SethStarkaddersMum · 26/04/2010 12:40

I think there's going to be a storyline about Ben being identified as gifted and the chess is a build-up to it.

We have a dd who is scarily like Karen but we are beating it out of her. Outnumbered is a useful reminder of what will happen if we weaken.

elliemental · 26/04/2010 12:43

my dh who is notoriously hard to please eventually gave in and watched it with me. He normally refuses to watch anything which doen't feature Stephen Fry or Aliens.
He laughed out loud.
I agree it is past it's best, but please don't tell him that, it has been me all alone upstairs watching it for years. Always much better laughing in company, no?
