Jon and Kate plus 8

The final season is airing at the moment. I've watched from season 1 and love it and will miss it when it's over!

Such a shame they split, but I was never much of a Jon anyway!!

Anyone else a fan?

no i hate it - i always thought they were not particularly keen on one another

herbietea - they do!! Every day there is atleast 2 episodes on tv, sometimes four!

I used to like this programme and was actually taken in by them to start with.

Then I realised that she was a controlling, uncompromising monster and he was a complete knob and the little girl Maddy is the epitome of a brat who is allowed to act exactly as she pleases without ever being challenged.

Those children have been exploited for money to the enth degree but now the circus is over, thankfully.

Apparently the crew hated working with them and a lot left simply because they couldn't any longer buy into the whole "happy family" sceanario when they knew it was all so totally different in reality.

Kate is treated like public enemy no.1 in the American media and both she and Jon are figures for ridicule.

What some people will do for money eh?

Google around a bit about them and what you find will make for interesting and telling reading/watching. Certainly far more interesting than the programme itself which I think was actually given far more air time than it ever deserved.

Kate now has long very blonde hair (extensions given to her in a professional makeover to signify her 'new life'), perfectly manicured french-tipped acrylic nails, a glowing spray tan, a toned body that must come from regular workouts (in addition to her tummy tuck), teeth that have been whitened, and a wardrobe provided by a stylist. It is hugely time consuming (and expensive) to look the way she does now that she is a 'celebrity'.

She has turned into a celebrity, and is currently doing 'Dancing With The Stars' in America (show is in LA). There are also many press articles with photo shoots in order to keep up her visibility and to present her side of their current situation.

Jon is living in NYC and making noises that he wants to file for custody as she is an 'absentee' Mum. She says she is doing what is necessary to support the family (in their new Pennsylvania mansion with acreage). He seems to be doing little other than falling out of nightclubs with various young women. He certainly does not appear to be earning, and there are rumours that he will be asking her for spousal support (financial).

I can't imagine how the children are being looked after.

And, as i'm in America, it is hard to avoid the story - hence the ludicrous amount of information i can provide here......

GenevieveHawkings I used to love it too, I sometimes flick over and watch and think poor children, diffently agree about Maddy

I have watched raising 10 kids the Hayes way they seem a lovely couple, she dosen't seem to be a control freak and it works for them

PlumBumMum - I love the Hayes family too! In the USA, it's called "Table for 12". The same show with a different title sequence and song!

Earlybird - I am always seeing articles about kate, especially since she's been on DWTS!

I think the Hayes are still in touch with reality,
where as Jon & Kate left reality back in season 2 or 3
