Children's films on BBC3 - why so late?

Er, why? DH out last night and DD1 on a sleepover so I admit I let DD2 watch 'Over the Hedge' until well after nine (well it's the holidays). Movie content absolutely fine - we both enjoyed it. But why not start it at 7, before the yet another Top Gear repeat? They seem to be doing a lot of these and I can't let her stay up all the time (might even be something on that I want to watch!).

A friend of mine was talking about this. She was concerned that the adverts weren't suitable for a young child.

I recorded it for my kids. Meant I could cut out the guff before and after, too.

Adverts? On BBC3? I watched it and can't recall adverts.

theres no adverts on BBC3, the annoying thing is they keep putting the same films on every few nights!

It's so daft - I record them for DS but why schedule them then in the first place?

DD and I watched Over The Hedge. It was very funny!
