No, not mine it was a programme on National Geographic, did anyone watch it?

Last year I watched a similar one called "My Monkey baby", which was more about the wackiness of the Capuchin Monkeys owners. This Nat Geo programme looked more into the implications of owning a wild animal.

I think owning a monkey should be made illegal, I felt so sad for the baby Capuchins, being snatched from their mothers at 4 days old, when they would normally stay close for up to 2 years.

One woman who purchased a Monkey for £5K was British, but living in the US, I would have expected different, afterall we are known for being a nation of animal lovers. It was just barbaric.

Being a nation of animal lovers is sadly a bit of a misnoma these days.

We are certainly a nation who uses animals to a very great extent and many love animals to a very great extent but I am not sure these are the same thing really. There are plenty of british living in britain who can and do do far worse than your example.

The owning of any animal that has to be removed from its mother unnaturally (to that extent) and is not a domesticated species is wrong on many levels.

I watched it too and kept shouting at the idiots on there I can't believe in this day and age there are still morons in this world who keep "wild" animals and pets...sorry not pets "children" I am embarrased to be called a human when there are idiots like this on the TV. One of them had the nerve to say that her monkey was starting to show signs of agression! Agression NO really from a wild animal!!! It is SOOOO sad that these idiots feel the need to keep these innocent monkeys to replace something that they haven't got and that's an eternal baby!

They are all freaks as far as I am concerned and the practice should be illegal worldwide.
