But they are 6 and 3

Appropriate or not?

I do explain as we go along what's happening etc but have no doubt they don't get it in the context its intended

It's better than Tracey bloody Beaker though

We've just discovered this too. Same age as my dc's, have recorded the series on cbbc and will
explain as and where necessary.

It definatley beats Ben 10 / Star wars for us. Think its better than those and at least its sort of educational

Totally appropriate IMO. Mind you, we don't do much censoring in our house - if they are coping with watching it, and we're on hand to explain etc., then I'm happy with them watching it. 6yo, 5yo and 3yo btw.

And 6yo is now reading the books because of it - the two older ones know loads of history now and are really interested in it. The 5yo says she doesn't like HH when there are 'killing people' in it, so she chooses not to watch those bits.

Great programmes - really enjoying them - DS2 loves them - but he is 9 - however he has been reading the books since he was six. The programme wouldn't be inappropriate for a six year old and a three year old wouldn't get it anyway!!!
