It's always repeats just lately. It must be dirt cheap telly so why don't Channel 4 get their finger out and make some more! Favorite episode...the one in Wales where the woman who owned the B&B and thought she'd win easily made fried chicken which everyone hated and then refused to eat her desert with the rest of them on the last night. Priceless

Oh yes I love it. The narrater makes it though he is so funny.

My fave episode was the one Blackpool one with the transvestite from Funny Girls and the homophopbic Mason guy.

5inthebed · 09/04/2010 09:06

I love it as well. I can't remember the Wales one though, sounds hilarious!

peggotty · 09/04/2010 09:06

Did you see the one where the snake shat on the dinner table?!

peggotty · 09/04/2010 09:07

Yes it's the narrator that makes it so funny imo.

odette123 · 09/04/2010 09:08

Oh the snake one was funny, I'd forgot about that. She was so drunk and cracked me up when she was telling all the guests that the snake "only had a poo last week"

Love the narrator too

Me too - love it! But I keep stumbling across ones I've not seen before. I think on Channel 4 on Sunday evenings there may be a new series.
The celebrity ones are always good too. Kim Woodburn (?) was awful!

odette123 · 09/04/2010 09:14

I missed the Kim Woodburn one, I'll have to look out for that. Did take a bit to Dermot Gavin (sp?) though when he was on a celebrity one as perviously he'd always struck me as a pretentious irritating ar*s

Yes it is wonderful.

If you like come dine with me i can also wholeheartedly recommend pinapple dance studios if you have sky.

ditto bonkers people showing off
ditto hilarious narration taking the piss

is comedy gold

odette123 · 09/04/2010 09:21

Also love the way the narrator puts something like "single Mum of one" before the contestants names and then refers to them that way all the way through the programme. Maybe him and the Masterchef bloke (Children's Doctor Tim, Dad of One Dhruv) both went to the same narrating school

Keep seeing Pineapple Dance Studios on TV Burp but haven't got sky. I'll have a look on youtube. How that choreographer bloke minces walks is so camp its a wonder he doesn't loop right back round to being straight

love it love it love it. A rea guilty pleasure for me and I often sneak off with the lap top and watch it "on demand" in bed.

The narrator is fantastic, his one liners have me in fits.

dustycups · 09/04/2010 09:34

i love the episode with the posh women with the fat duck menu on her wall, starts the programme all posh etc and then trys to say she isnt and buys budget food etc and her face at the end when she dont win is my come dine with me classic moment made me rofl!!!!

ChocolatePants · 09/04/2010 09:36

Love it too. Love the narrator, he can be so naughty.

ProfYaffle · 09/04/2010 09:37

I remember that one, iirc they were all horrible to her and I felt quite sorry for her towards the end.

DastardlyandSmugly · 09/04/2010 09:51

Love it. The narrator (Dave Lamb from Moving Wallpaper) is a genius.

My favourite one is with the host that got so drunk she fell asleep so the guests had to cook their own dinner.

odette123 · 09/04/2010 09:58

Oh yes I forgot that one too, that WAS a good one. She also went home in the middle of one of the dinner parties cos she was "tired". That was the one too with the small angry carpet salesman who got all potentially violent when he imagined that she was talking to one of the other men more than him but then reckoned he didn't fancy her. I feel a 4OD Come Dine with Me marathon coming on...

absolutely love CDWM. Nearly wet myself with glee when I discovered they are on back to back on Sundays when we were all getting cabin fever last winter.

PandaG · 09/04/2010 10:01

love it - is the narrator that makes it. DH and I howl at his one liners!

foxytocin · 09/04/2010 10:02

My favourite (going back a while now) is the very norty lady from West London who gave no one more than 3 points. She figured she was on a winning recipe for the £1K by instilling her new points system.

charlieandlola · 09/04/2010 10:04

Love it. Can also recommend 4 weddings on virgin1 fir narrator rudeness and general judging bitchiness.

comewhinewithme · 09/04/2010 10:06

Me, also love four weddings.

odette123 · 09/04/2010 10:08

I love it when there's someone to really focus all my hate on. Like the one with the young posh girl who was living in a mansion with a bloke old enough to be her Dad, I would never have tired of hitting her gurning face. My least favourite ones are where they all get along. Like the one in Liverpool where the overly sensitive bloke made an announcement at the end that he was going to start eating less meat cos he fancied the veggie, puke.

DastardlyandSmugly · 09/04/2010 10:50

Oh the carpet salesman was awful wasn't he?

Also loved Lesley Joseph's lamb disaster when she was hosting.

Love four weddings too but the whole dress thing makes me shout at the telly. 'The dress wasn't what I would have chosen' when they all basically wear the same strapless meruinge!

odette123 · 09/04/2010 10:57

Lesley Joseph, bless her. She even had 1970's Blue Peter presenter and my childhood hero, Sarah Green to help her. Maybe she should've brought one round she made earlier
